Now the palm trees are being conserved because people are consuming Acai berries more and more. FAIR TRADE practices ensure the protection of the native trees from loggers and cattle farmers. In essence, locals are paid to preserve the precious Amazon. AMAZONIA DONATES 5% of any annual profit directly to the communities that help gather or berries to be spent on local COMMUNITY PROJECTS (schools, health-care etc.) AMAZONIA is Australia’s ONLY FAIR TRADE, CERTIFIED ORGANIC sustainable source of premium acai. Our Purpleberries are HAND SELECTED in a way that maintains the natural biodiversity of the Amazon rainforest. We cooperate with Independent NON-PROFIT government organisations that measure our impact of harvesting the berry in the rainforest and makes sure it’s all kept sustainable. This ensures that Acai trees are kept standing, and biodiversity maintained.
